Economic Development Advisory Committee

THAT February 16, 2022 Tourism and Economic Development Advisory Board Meeting Minutes be approved as presented.

THAT staff be requested to promote the Year of the Garden through the initiatives recommended by the Year of the Garden Sub-Committee and supported by staff as outlined in the Work Plan; AND THAT applicable Norfolk County Boards and Committees be encouraged to promote the Year of the Garden; AND FURTHER THAT Communication staff be requested to develop electronic messaging to promote the Year of the Garden.

THAT the update provided by the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Economic Development regarding Pre-Launch Reveal for Tourism Awareness Campaign be received as information.

THAT the update provided by the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Economic Development regarding Economic Development Initiatives be received as information.

THAT the update provided by the Committee Coordinator regarding Scheduling a Presentation on Workers Program be received as information.

THAT the Information Memo regarding Advisory Committee Recommendations to Council be received as information.

THAT the Tourism and Economic Development Advisory Board move into the Planning Advisory Committee to discuss the Planning Growth Management Study.

THAT the General Manager of Community Development be invited to provide a State of Planning Services Update at a future meeting.

THAT the Planning Growth Management Study be received as information; AND THAT staff be requested to consider incorporating comments received from the Planning Advisory Committee into the Planning Growth Management Study.

THAT the Planning Advisory Committee move into the Tourism and Economic Development Advisory Board.

THAT the meeting be adjourned at 7:18 p.m.
