Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That a full review of plans and options for a new Fire/EMS facility in St. Williams be completed before proceeding further and that such review includes input and options provided by Norfolk County Staff, the St. Williams Committee and the wider community. Further That Norfolk County Council does not make any decision that would see the closure, demolition or loss of the St. Williams Community Centre and that the St. Williams Community Centre be removed from the Facilities Master Plan in its current context Further That Council consider the cyclical nature of usage of many community assets, such as the example of the St. Williams Ball Diamond which was seldom used until Walsingham Minor Baseball enrollment expanded, causing the St. Williams Ball Diamond usage to increase dramatically; and Finally, That Council consider the wider impact that the loss of a rural Community Centre has on a wide range of local economic and social activities.
