Economic Development Advisory Committee

THAT the May 18th, 2022 Tourism and Economic Development Advisory Board minutes be approved as presented.

THAT the workplan be updated to remove the presentation from John Rogers regarding Turkey Point Re-branding.

THAT as per Section 4(a)(v) of the Board’s Terms of Reference, the Board invite the newly elected Member of Provincial Parliament, Bobbi Ann Brady, to a future Board meeting to provide an update on senior government policies and programs which affect tourism and economic development.

THAT the Board invite Jim Norman to a future Board meeting to provide an update on projects the Delhi Chamber of Commerce is working on.

THAT the workplan be amended to include a monthly invitation to community groups and agencies to provide a voluntary written or verbal update on tourism and economic development initiatives and programs.

THAT the updates to the workplan be approved.

THAT discussion regarding the Board's Terms of Reference be extended to the July 29, 2022 meeting for further debate.

THAT a Sub-Committee be formed to prepare a recommendation to the Board regarding the challenge of housing for seasonal workers, with the following members:  Helene LaRochelle  Jerry O’Connell AND THAT the Sub-Committee report back at the July 29, 2022 Board meeting.

THAT the meeting be adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
