In recognition that the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit is responsible for planning and delivering public health services in both Haldimand and Norfolk County, and that the Board of Health values engagement with Haldimand County through the Health and Social Services Advisory Committee and/or directly at Board meetings as needed, THAT the Board of Health, by 2/3 majority, approve the attendance of designated Haldimand County members of Council and Staff to attend the March 28 Special Board of Health closed session meeting.

THAT the Board of Health receive confidential report, HSS-23-C03 for information; AND THAT the Board of Health appoint Dr. Joyce Lock as the 0.8 FTE Medical Officer of Health for the Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit for a temporary period of six (6) months, with the possibility of a mutually agreed upon extension if required; AND THAT the Board of Health authorize the General Manager of Corporate Services and the Director of Human Resource to negotiate and execute an agreement for employment with Dr. Lock for the above noted position; AND FURTHER THAT the General Manager, Corporate Services communicate this appointment to the Ministry of Health and request the required Ministerial appointment as articulated in the Health Protection and Promotion Act.
